Hello it's lovely to meet you!
Let me catch you up!

I’ve always connected with the world through observation and creativity. I pay attention to small moments, tiny details, and the feelings behind someone’s experience, especially the ones that often go unnoticed.

Before I found UX/UI, my past roles taught me how to understand people, identify their needs, and communicate clearly and compassionately. I carry those lessons into my design practice, approaching each project with curiosity, thoughtful observation, and a commitment to creating experiences that feel intuitive and human.

How I Approach Design

I design with the intention of helping people feel understood. I’m drawn to visual storytelling, colors, textures, and small details that make something click for someone who’s been overwhelmed or unsure where to start.

I think a lot about how we take in information through our senses, and I try to create experiences that feel clear, gentle, and human. Accessibility matters to me, because no two people learn the same way. I want my work to feel like an open door: warm, welcoming, and easy to step into.

Every project is a chance to listen, experiment, adapt, and make something that helps life feel a little simpler and a little more beautiful.

My time as Ms. Yuhas

One of my favorite memories from teaching was the sun my class made on the very first day. We created a few simple guidelines for how we wanted to learn, listen, and take care of one another. Each student added their name to a ray, a small gesture that made them feel like they truly belonged to our little community.

Teaching challenged me in ways I never expected. I learned how to break down complex ideas into simple steps, how to read someone’s body language long before they found the words, and how to adapt in real time when things didn’t go as planned. I saw firsthand how patience can transform frustration into progress, and how empathy can help someone feel brave enough to try again.

Those experiences shaped how I show up in every project I work on. They taught me that good design isn't just about solving a problem, it’s about understanding people, meeting them where they are, and giving them the clarity and confidence to move forward. My classroom was my first real lesson in accessibility, communication, and human-centered thinking.

When I thought about how to share my teaching story in my portfolio, I knew I wanted to bring back that moment with the sun. So here it is again, only this time, the rays are filled with the lessons my students gave me. Click or tap a ray to see the story behind it.

An Unexpected Path

I started working part-time in the medical cannabis industry while going back to school, and I learned so much from the patients, caregivers, and coworkers I met. Talking with people navigating pain, anxiety, and overwhelming moments taught me how important it is to communicate clearly and create experiences that feel supportive rather than intimidating, lessons I carry into my design work today.

I gained knowledge from seasoned cannabis users, curious beginners, and everyone in between, eventually traveling across Pennsylvania to support more than 50 dispensary accounts. It was unexpected, eye-opening, and full of the kinds of connections that stay with you.

My time in the industry has strengthened my ability to explain complex information, meet people where they are, and create experiences that feel welcoming rather than intimidating, all skills I now carry directly into my design work.

My Time at Rutgers

Earning my MBS in UX Design helped me become the designer I always hoped to be. I learned methods and tools such as research, usability testing, information architecture, and prototyping, but I also learned how to lead with empathy and curiosity. Grad school gave me space to find my voice as a designer: someone who listens first, asks thoughtful questions, and creates experiences that feel clear, human, and intentional.

The Next Chapter

I’m excited to find UX/UI opportunities where I can grow as a visual designer, work on meaningful projects, and collaborate with teams that value thoughtful design. I’m hoping for a place where I can keep learning, experimenting, and bringing a little warmth into the design world.
